The audio transmission technologies that have been accumulated by Panasonic over the years enable clear sound for smooth, comfortable conversations.
Advanced speakerphone sounds
Slim body with high sound quality
The smaller the speaker enclosure, the weaker the bass and the greater the sound deterioration. In order to prevent the bass sound deterioration, the KX-UT Series was equipped with a large speaker box which required a thick body. The KX-HDV Series utilizes the body housing with a unique construction to secure a large enclosure capacity. This improves the speakerphone sound quality while keeping the body slim.

KX-UT Series
KX-HDV Series
The KX-HDV series achieves high quality sound with the approximately 25% reduced body thickness of the enclosure area holding the speaker, reduced 50% at the thinnest part.
Frequency characteristic for speakerphone
The sound quality is changed by the capacity of the enclosure that holds the speaker. In the conventional model, a large speaker box in a large-capacity enclosure was used to improve the sound quality, and this required a thick body.
Comparison for enclosure capacity
The KX-HDV Series uses a unique design in which the entire body serves as a speaker enclosure to improve the low-frequency range while keeping the body slim.

Full Duplex
The Panasonic KX-HDV Series conforms to the IEEE 1329 standard for full duplex speakerphones that enable clear conversations. Typically, full duplex speakerphones use an echo canceller to prevent the microphone from picking up the sound from the speaker. In ordinary IP phone’s full duplex speakerphones, when both parties talk at the same time, the echo canceller is activated to reduce the transmission sound volume of the microphone. This lowers the sending voice and other party’s voice volume will be low at the receiving side. As a result, an interruption is perceived in the conversation. With the KX-HDV Series, even if both parties talk at the same time, the echo is suppressed without lowering the sending voice volume, so the other party’s voice is clear and natural, and no interruption is perceived.

The echo canceller is activated and other party’s voice sound is perceived interruption.

Wide Band Codec
Wide band voice, which supports the G.722 audio codecs, enables you to hear each other’s voice clearly for smooth communication.
Clear sounds for wireless communication
The KX-HDV430, KX-HDV330 and KX-UT248 support Bluetooth® headsets as a standard feature. While Bluetooth®headsets for ordinary IP Phones support only the narrow-band range, the KX-HDV430 and KX-HDV330 also support the wide-band range when using a Bluetooth® headset. This enables clear communication for wireless applications.
Stable DECT conversation quality
The KX-TGP600 and KX-TPA65/60 each have two built-in antennas, with a Fast Antenna Diversity (FAD) function that automatically switches to the optimal one for the signal conditions. This reduces communication errors in situations where the signal condition is affected by problems such as fading, and maintains a stable signal for clear conversation quality.

Noise Reduction Function
Ordinarily, when talking in a noisy environment, the background noise is transmitted to a receiver through a mouthpiece and the receiver can’t hear the voice easily. The KX-UDT131/121/111 and KX-TPA60 detect the background noise and pass the voice sound through a filter to remove the noise, then send the sound to the other party. The sound that reaches the other party contains clear voice sound in which the noise is reduced.

Dynamic Listening Volume Control Function
When moving from a quiet place to a noisy place, the receiver volume must be raised or the sound will be lost in the noise. When the KX-UDT131/121/111 and KX-TPA60 detect noise, they automatically increase the receiver volume to an easy-to-hear level.
Stable conversation quality
Moving around while talking on an ordinary cordless phone causes voice data errors, and interruptions, due to the cyclic valleys of the signal and interference from sound reflections. Previous models verify each frame of the received voice data. When a bit error occurs in the frame, that frame is muted, so the sound is interrupted in units of about 10 ms. Panasonic DECT communication technology in the KX-UDT131/121/111 and KX-TPA60 shortens the error detection cycle, so that even if an error should occur, muting is reduced. This prevents unnatural voice interruptions for more comfortable conversations.
